OMG Mita, I came here prepared to be facetious about the conceptual artist topic and you blow me away with this illustration. My daughter did something like this, in her own way of course. This type of illustration is so avant garde, so youthful, vibrant and a breath of fresh air. Not mephitic at all the way hifallutin' conceptual artistes go about with their folderol, or cacophonic and risible analysis of every line and squiggle. I have to tell you, alas, I am not even an artiste. I am just a Real-Nase-Goring-Short-Order-Cook!

I love. Really.

All these shapes. Yours.

And a style evolving like a wave beyond the borders.

Mita, sorry, I was occupied when you were making it to 200. I would have loved to badinage with you, but now I am serious when I say this:

On the contrary, you are a true artist. You did not have to go to fine arts school. You are a natural. A lot of great artists did not obtain a Master's degree and not especially a PhD. Keep on doing what you do. Be true to yourself. Your art is beautiful, intellectual, terrific~

Ces said...

Thank you for your visits, Mita dear. I treasure them even though I was not able to stay with you this morning.

I love your work, again and again. I follow very few artists in the blogs because I must truly love their work, in order to set myself free and unrestrained with how I feel about their work. I spend too much energy emoting over pieces of art, but I do and therefore have to conserve my energy and make me honest.

I woke up so happy today and happier still when I opened my Inbox. There were two precious gems in there. I will treasure them and rather than reply haphazardly, I will contemplate a proper response. Thank you my Beloved Artist-SisterFriend!

I don't know hat else to say about your art but I love every new creation you make. I think that the current one "Sea, Water, Hope" means a lot to me because it is rendered in pen and ink.

See there it goes again. You are natural in any medium - watercolor, pen and ink... I think that any medium you use will turn out into a beautiful work of art, which goes to show, that a degree in Fine arts would have made you a technician drawing precise and scaled illustrations but it would have not given you any creative energy because CREATIVITY is innate. You were born with it. Time and time again, you bring out work that not only are visually pleasing, they speak, scream, think, and feel. Any work of art that makes us aware we are alive is a great work of art.

I can go on and on and use words that people speak in the galleries even when they view god-awful and mediocre paintings, truly hideous. I bring my children to the galleries and I will restrain myself from criticizing but children are natural artists and critics, are honest and say about a work of art that some hip-looking dude or dudette called "progressive" or "innovative", the kids will say "Man! What is that! That is ugly!" or "Gee, They just gathered a bunch of trash and colored it!" From the mouth of babes... On the other hand, everyone to whom I showed this drawing said "Wow, I love that!" after they said, "OMG! She is drop-dead gorgeous!" HAHAHAHAH! They never say that to me, and that's okay. HAHAHAHA!

EPSILONS RULE!!!

Reminds me of The Eraser, the waves of fear that takes out cities and towns that both Thom Yorke & Stanley Donwood so marvelously created. But this is definitely in a different light, done in a way where YOU are the the one taking out cities and towns only to bridge the distance with waves to wash this person to you (without drowning them).

So beautiful! I could make a gazillion stories to your images, that is why i love your art so much! <3

roberto said...

Well, I have time. but it is time to go to sleep in this part of the world. Tomorrow never knows.

steveroni said...

Ces said she is not "drop-dead-gorgeous" like you obviously ARE. Actually she is also, I can see it in her work, in her writings, and ESPECIALLY here in her comments to you! i read each one more than once.

To be fair and honest, i see it also in her constant smiling eyes--which is where I "see" things, and her real smile. Her humor also shows that beauty.

Now...about YOU! It IS your post, right???--grin! Everything which Ces said, i could have said, IF i knew how. You are (Gallery-talk?) FABULOUS! And you come across as humble, which is the "fab" in FABULOUS....

I'll get outta here, but I sure am making some great blog discoveries here tonight.

I may drop you a few more lines--or go to bed, whichever comes first!

PEACE, and keep on being YOU! It sure fits you well!

Now this is surprising: you used a Hungarian recipe as your digital background (Hájas - a kind of very fatty desert, usually filled with either some kind of meat or some kind of canned fruit), but the recipe collector was evidently Rumanian (I would guess Transylvanian), and wrote the instructions in that language.

Hungarian is everywhere,haha!

I love the bird. These illustrations are wonderful. How are you, Beautiful?

roberto said...

Thanks Lakhsmita, classes begin on Monday, from 6 am to 9 am, are a bit expensive because we serve a breakfast of tropical fruits, and some delicacies like caviar and champagne (Dom Perignon 1989).
If you want more economic classes have a course in which only serve a glass of water with a slice of toast (no butter and no jam).
Please let us know if you want to take a class with time, and which of the two courses will score. OK?
