Oh dear Mita, well this is wonderful. Raw, but well done. It's funny raw is beautiful, isn't? I guess in French it's 'at the point' (where it is no longer bleeding)

Andrew Finnie said...

Oh when I say "Raw, but well done" I mean a compliment, sorry I am being disambigous!

I don't mean the quality of the art, but the emotion it conveys/ Raw is honest - and 'well done' is perfectly cooked...

hmm my shovel is digging a deeper hole :)

Eh ...Can I say something? A dummy is always the foundation of new clothes. and life, is always the best dress you can imagine.

(Oh I I have luck, Herr A. wrote something really smart. And opened the door of my ideas.)
Mita Well, you know, the critics I do not like much. But it is obvious that something is moving your pencils and your brushes and well(I think, before you did so well. But now we can see "freedom"). As for the graphic, it is excellent. the color and if you want, the composition. I like the detail of the little bird in the hair. because that's where the hope is centered forward. (the only release)
The others are the shadows that must move farther and farther. let them go.
It is always a great joy that someone creative do not stop creating!

Ah ... yes. yes. it works. Has worked for 33 years.

Sometimes it is wonderful to come here and read the effects you have on Andrew. See now, I spilled coffee on my chest. Good thing it got on my clothes, not on my skin. Yes, raw as in brutally, painfully honest but still enigmatic. I think I know you. I think not. I love how emotional your art is. You are the true artist. I don't think this is the type of art that goes well with the color of the sofa or the paint in the room. This is not the type of art that ends up being a skin on a cell phone or a print in a school binder. This is heavy stuff, heavy as in heavy heart and that at least I know what it means. Have a good week dearest Mita.

One of my favorite things about looking at your pieces online is that as you scroll down there is always a surprise! So well done. I love her dress form legs.

Thank you so much for your kind words. You have no idea how much they mean to me, sincerely.

I'm finally here. I had problems to enter the blog. It was the same thing that happened with Andrew? Anyway, I'm happy I can visit your places again :)
I love this work and the words, they make me think of a whole story behind the piece. Is it the same bird in different time? In my little story it is :)
I love the eyes of the girl. There's a bit of sadness there, maybe she can see into the future and knows she's destined to lose the bird eventually.
I don't like birds too much in real life. They scare me a bit (the same with bears...and you know, our fear...those ugly creatures I don't wanna mention) but in your work birds really look beautiful, there's some poetic quality about them. They even make me feel nostalgic.

I have to say ... pretty awesome. And good to see you out and about again. I don't know how to play the Morrissey/Smiths v Smith/The Cure battle. I love them both and have everything both have recorded. Being honest I would give the edge to Morrissey. The Cure havn't been putting the awesome into their latest albums, while Morrissey is releasing some of his best material.

Hey Mita! This is so thought compelling and enchantingly beautiful. Is it a self portrait of sorts? Resembles you a bit and I know life’s been a bit stormy as of late! Your words are right on too! Isn’t everything that we have lost in this life first a dream, then reality, then gone. You are a wise little witch. But don’t let the losses that we experienced yesterday steal the love and joy that awaits us tomorrow. Blessings to you my friend.
