Mita, this is absolutely delightful~~~the rough background against the fine detail work is excellent. The concept draws the viewer in and leaves unanswered questions....which makes one ponder.
It is delightful, as always with your work!
I could ramble a long time on this piece.... ;)

Wow! I´m speechless!

What a bad luck! To find a way to get closer to the Moon to enjoy her beauty without disturbing her and to discover how sad she is. Maybe because she is lonely, while the world is silent and everyone is sleeping. Well, not everyone!:)
"Sad eyes, moon face,
why cry, moon face?"
I remembered this verse not so long ago and even quoted it twice in other blogs, in connection with other drawings. But I think its place is here.
Who's going to hug the moon?...

A beautiful drawing, so poetic and deep!!

I really like how the deer is trying to be a bird, sometimes we all wish to be something different than what we are. Experience different things in a different skin. I like that idea.

Hello dear witch. I knew you were very busy, so I waited to hear from you. I hope you get some rest ~ not fun to be exhausted. I cannot seem to get caught up on things here. Christmas is coming TOO fast and I'm not ready.
I don't think I want to sneak into THAT part of your brain. I'm thinking more on the creative side. hahahaha
Take care, sweet one.
I have missed you, too.

:-) Hi, dear Witch!!!
I am delighted with your fairytale illustrations! They are so mysterious! Such unique! Just no words!

Tears of the Moon similar to the petals of the roses. When they would fall to the ground, they will blossom again. :)

Lovely work here!

Ana said...

Thompson doesn't know what she's talking about, she's probably doing it to get some attention to her own version.
I understand when people say it's not their favourite performance of Audrey because even Audrey herself didn't want to do it at first, she wanted Julie Andrews to play the role and only accepted it after they told her she was not going to do it...nevertheless she did a great effort, she sang the songs, later cut out...something they should have never done because she didn't sing bad and it should have added more depth to her acting I believe... Bad actress?? anyone who says that obviously has not seen The nun's story and The children's hour.

There are so many reasons I love this piece. The deer who wishes he were a bird, or perhaps is pretending to be a bird to get closer to the moon. The moon so serene yet sorrowful, her tears caught by a hoof. Beautiful!

Just FYI for now.

Go+Net will be french as a homepage.

Useless to follow it, because it will be permanently actualized.

I don't think that this "Friend Connect" by Google is so excellent.

Visiting for example the official "Blogger Blog", we see that they broke their RSS/Atom flux, integrating instead Feedburner (which has been redeemed by Google anyway, as for Blogger before...)

Waiting for & from you, I wish you a good morning & a pleasant day.

I'm in love with RLI <3

Laurent Daedalus said...

Scuz but I can't.

Looking at this Junior Sanchez (did he change his Myspace previous name...?)
It's really shitty.
Me who believed that he could have some tastes.
In fact, no.
All I see from him can be done by everybody, even this piece as movie maker is completely insignificant.

Yeah, okay & whatever, I shut up.

At the opportunity, just tell me what you can find intesresting in his student work.

Bcoz as you know, your old MS friends are "dead" since your account is deleted...

I terribly miss you. I hope you still know what it means...

Icarus and Daedalus said...

What are you doing?

Laurent Daedalus said...

Aren't you tired to play with my feelings?

The icy climate makes me want to watch Fargo by the Coen Coen brothers.

France, all is frozen, snow, it's white everywhere.

I hope you already saw The Thing by John Carpenter. We can find it on YouTube, but it's so pitiful to watch a great movie under these conditions.

Like for Eraserhead by Lynch, you remember, on MS?... It must be watched on a big screen with a total sound.

Laurent Daedalus said...

Your deer looks like me. I dunno why. I have some assumtions, with the legs, the horns, and especially the beak.

Or it is my memory.

This kind of beak reminds me Matthias Langhoff. Not Brecht, not Büchner, not Shakespeare nor Gogol, this guy killed me when he presented Kafka. It was endless, with actors wearing masks as beaks.

Endless... You know, at the theater in general, there is an end, a conclusion. But not with him and not with Kafka. People just had to leave the theater progressively. Not aplauses. Just crazy. It was like a machine, adapted from the Penal Colony.

The kind of moments to share with you.

Like a piece of Rodrigo Garcia... But it's something else...

"Tout" means "All"...

Sympathy for The Devil said...

tired of playing with Your feelings, excuse moi?
how ironic.
perhaps you should read again your phenomenal mail to me?

Icarus and Daedalus said...

This mail wasn't phenomenal for someone who's trying to understand and to get... You. And the truth about history.

About Islam, well, I just would say that our perceptions are different. In Europe we met Descartes, so theer is often a cartesian. Descartes is rather strict, as a mathematian (and you, loving numbers & statistics.

About that, all the filmography of Peter Greenaway (british) is fascinating. He's a master playing with letters & numbers. My fav one is The Pillow Book, I would be Ewan McGregor, and you, the most beautiful asian girl of the world (in the movie, it's a japanese and I forgot her name...)

It speaks about bodies, numbers, poetry. What is ironic is that english people don't recognize him. He can seem, for some movies, too much intellectual. While he's not. An other movie from him I that I appreciated very much qwas with a baby, the Baby of Macon. masterly.

And then, about numbers especially, there is ZOO (a zed ans two noughts). Then the last movie I saw from him is Nightwatching, talking about Rembrandt. Fabulous.

And Rembrandt, at his turn, reminds me a piece / a text, that I saw in a crypt, adapted from (I forgot and as you know I don't have my books here)

It will come back...
All of that to say that all is linked;
from which this idea of bracelet.

I adored your pics. Yours.
And I aoored the groundhog kissing the cat.
For one time, let me be this groundhog.
The cat wll be you.

Goodnight, Princess.

You seem to have other priorities.
At each one his/her own "doctor"...

You become progressively Madame Bovary.
Flaubert, Balzac, bovarysm... Maybe you know.

What are you waiting to write to your lover?
