Well, I kid... because I must admit I did that myself once, and posted an old cartoon for Illustration Friday awhile back when I just felt too lazy to draw something up fresh. And to be honest I had an old cartoon that was perfect for the new word but havent been able to find it, so I guess I'll have to draw it up new, and avoid the second cheat. HA! But I certainly would have cheated had I found it. Double HA!!
I keep noticing people on that site who only post their portfolio links, and completely ignore the word assignment. What up with that? At least you and I have a conscience about it and aren't selfish like those folks. And that's a good thing.
Oh, and that is a beautiful Alice in Wonderland piece. Love that story.

As someone told, you should definitely take a look at Jan Švankmajer film version of Alice. It's very dark and an interesting work with stop motion animation. In fact you should look all Švankmajer you can, he's great.
What do you think of Tim Burton's version? It was a big disappointment for me, with that amazing story I think he could have make it much better.

I've missed you, my dear witch! The faeries and I are doing well..and hubby too. We are sending my eldest to Washington DC soon for a leadership camp and I am already missing her. : ( But I am ok..I will keep working and painting and hopefully be better at visiting. I LOVE this piece! The layers in your composition is fantastic - LOVE the mushroom, the white rabbit set in sepia tone and Alice laying in color amongst those cards...gorgeous work! I love it!
