Reminds me of the Red Shoes fairy tale. There's also a cool movie from 1948 where the ballerina doesn't know if stay with the man she loves or follow her dream of dancing. I don't know if you've seen that one...maybe I need to stop talking about movies but I love them too much :)

Gorgeous work as always eventhough you say it is unfinished! Sorry to hear about your hand cramping though, it is never fun? Have you tried stretching it? I also tend to hold something warm when my hand cramps up and that seems to fix the problem :) Hope to see more of your illustrations!

That was fun to watch. I like the part where you laid down a pencil line, then erased it... there was something warm and innocent about that and I didn't expect it. When all you see is beautifully finished art from an artist you don't imagine them erasing, actually being human. Or is it just me?

Did I ever tell you how, when I was a kid, I used to get taken to barn dances? Now the thing about barn danceing and little boys is that your partner tends to be a small overweight woman with a large chest which is just at the same height as your nostrils. And so dancing with some people makes it very hard to breath.
On the other hand I enjoyed the dance of your drawing so much I came back for another look.
After a rest of course to catch my breath.
