He's telling her something interesting...I love this!

Ted Blackman said...

Mr. Honeybee has a secret, and I'm so glad the queen is lending him an ear: A bee's life is very short with plenty to do, and if he takes the time to stop and tell you something then it must be VERY important.
I love dem honeybees; when they slip and fall into my birdbath I rescue them and send them on their way. Do you realize the dire straights we would be in if the bees stopped pollinating our crops? Maybe that's what he's telling her.

Mita, this painting is bitchen. One of your best! Composition, color and design, all top-notch. Here the applause: clap, clap, clap!

Oh yeah, I'm glad you're my girlfriend now, but I'm afraid my evil twin is part of the package. -you can still back out before we're betrothed.

Tu es une grande illustratrice de talent !!! ton univers est onirique et superbe ! Bravo !!!
Tu nous en mets plein les yeux à chaque fois !

Speaking about painting and drawing, we could say: there is no endpoint, I mean: you never stop learning, and one can never say you know everything, or dominates all
but yes, there is a point from which you can say that what you do is well done.
you've reached that point!!, (not today, so you are reaching, long time, but with this job, you reaffirmed). Since I watch your pictures, your grow has never stopped :)
I will do something I do not like to do (you know): Tell the artist what I like about his work:
In principle, all
but I really like the composition, my eyes come through the eyes of the girl and make a perfect travel to return to the eyes. perfect!
congratulations from here to the moon and back!!!!!!
oh I will write something on the glass onion ;)

renilde said...

Yes Mita i fully agree with Roberto it is truly wonderful, you put a story in it for us to catch and o boy, wouldn't it be great, to have cheries and blooming marigolds on one tree, i can see it and it's fantastic xx

Pásztohy Lili said...

i can't see no separation taking place i mean not yet and just wish i was there though and your drawing of the week is almost as tricky riddle as Andrew's pieces. i think hornet is not the best choice for you. i think octopus fits you better.

°Laurent said...

I followed the steps of this work and I waited with impatience to see the final result. Well, this drawing is really beautiful. All the composition, not only the insect.

I like the quote you chose from Napoléon. It fully corresponds to what I feel and to what I want for ever.

You're my beloved Joséphine.

Sweet Mita,
I LOVE the background! And the flowers, cherries and leaves look SO real ~ they are beautiful. I LOVE the girl and the insect, but she looks so sad. I guess separation is causing that sadness.
VERY happy to see more of your art on here.
Thinking of you always.

I love this one, Mita... There is something of the Yin and Yang to it... the illustrated part and the white space below. Both queen of their own world. Separated and united by the same passion for these fruits. I particularly love the wings... how the cherry is seen trough it. Captivating work, my friend... so happy I came to visit you!! Always amazed by your imagination and skills. :)
