My Eternity

Esmeralda - mon amour pour l'éternité
Q ♡ E
(just an illustration for a book i've been working on, The Hunchback of Notre-Dame)

I feel bad as i have been neglecting my blog and for that i apologize. I just thought i could handle the pressure of blogging and being judged, but i can't. I once thought about deleting this blog but there were too many beautiful memories to leave behind. Blogland used to feel like home, but i don't know now.
So that's the story. Sorry :(
Oh but i recently went travelling and had such a good time!

And i am currently obsessed with pressed flowers so i decided to make some and used them on my mediocre drawing.

Blogging should be enjoyable, if it isn't to you now you shouldn't feel badly about stepping away from this blog, although I do hope you'll leave it up. There are some very inspiring illustrations that I love!

Do what makes you happy my dearest Mita but whatever you do never forget that you are very dear to me and I love you. You know where to find me. I will be there. Your art is absolutely beautiful. Forget about the judges. What matters is what you think of your art and how it makes you feel. Art is really a selfish individual expression. There is nothing wrong with that. Some of us are painters and illustrators and others are neurosurgeons and teachers. Tsup!

Paint for yourself, paint for love but hopefully you will let us see occasionally as your drawings are beautiful and need to be let loose in the world.

I used to eat rose petals as a child and try to make perfume's in small bottles with flower petals, I was a strange child and now a strange man :-)

No need to eat flowers, dear girl - you ARE beautiful!
It's sad to read bitter words in your blog... But we are all vulnerable, when blogging and exposing our innerselves to a wide, mostly unknown audience!...
Your passion for dried flowers has led to this amazing illustration! You've put in harmony the different materials. There's so much mood in Esmeralda's dance...
I see you look happy on the pics! Wishing you new journeys, love and inspiration, dear Mita! xx

I think I know what you mean. I still pretty much 'gone'. Yeah. But, hey, the Esmerelda illustration is quite exceptional.

Wait... WHO'S judging you? Show them to me. I will punch them in the face.

Anyway, I see nothing but positive comments here about your art, and thousands of them. Many have been mine, you know. ha.

That's a nice, pink petal dress. I believe you're on to something with this pressed flower art, Mita. I didn't know you knew how to play the tambourine, either.

I love Esmeralda's skirt made of petals and how it seems like it's moving with her hair as she dances. She is a gypsy but there's probably some fairy in her too :)
I know how you feel, Mita but you shouldn't underestimate your art. It is beautiful and inspiring and there's many people here that thinks the same. I bet we are more than the ones that come here to judge you.
Hope you feel like home again.

hi Mita, whoever here to judge you, i'm sure this person is just an annoying asshole. Don't let it kill your creativity and bring you down, Girl!

If I am truthful I think that blogger is less pressure than reality! To place a painting or drawing onto to this virtual reality is easier than walking into a gallery or illustration agency to stare rejection in the face? Also sometimes I just wonder if blogger is just a little sugar coated that all the messages of love are more negative to an artist than a little constructive criticism?

The truth is only you know the direction you want your art to take there is no right or wrong. People have different tastes and that is a good thing, it would be boring if we were all the same!

So this kind of elaborates on my earlier comment, paint because you love too. xx

Mita, Mita, Beautiful Little One. You put Marilyn Monroe to shame with your beauty. Your travels look like a lot of fun; I love seeing into your world.

Your art is so uniquely you, how can any person judge you? They are jealous of your talent. I am so grateful that you use your talent and share your beauty with the world.

Sending you all of my love on the wings of a desert sparrow, Deb ♥
